Drum Roll Please!!
I have literally been on Pinterest since it was first created. When I designed Children’s clothes it was a great tool to save the images of the inspiration garments I was researching on the web.
In the early days of my career, I would have tons of snapshots stored in folders by category.
The images were organized but after a while, I couldn’t remember what site I found some of the random pictures at.
Once I really discovered how helpful Pinterest was I started using it to pin all my reference pictures for the season. I could share the boards with my team members so we were all on the same page as to the trends of the season.
My most popular PIN shown above was from this Blog Post.
I had just wrapped up a 30-day Challenge of Blogging each day!
It was quite the challenge but I made it through.
I actually want to do it again soon so be on the lookout!
Funny story this morning while writing this post I actually saved over that original one while using it as a template for this one. Ugggg I was like oh crap I just saved before making a copy. Squarespace does not have an undo button so I was screwed! Fortunately, I had the original post open in another window so I quickly copied and pasted the text and images so I fix what I saved over when I got home tonight! I did that first because I have learned it’s best to do the hard thing that you don’t want to do first. I got that out of the way and then moved on to finishing this post.
Now back to the point of this post lol. I recently heard a podcast about how important Pinterest can be for your Interior Design business so I wanted to make sure I do what I can to increase traffic back to my website.
I revamped and cleaned up the look of my boards by organizing, combining, and creating cover pages for each.
My Beautiful Pinterest Feed
Isn’t she so pretty?!
This took a minute because I created the cover image in Photoshop then uploaded the jpeg as a pin on each board. Then I had to click the folder and update the cover page image and lastly move the image into the folder so it was not the first picture you’d see. A lot of steps I know but happy to have completed it. I narrowed my boards down to thirty-seven by combing any that were similar and I’m very happy with the vibe of my page now.
Since this post was so popular…Check out those stats
I figured let me share the links for anyone interested in creating a similar look in their home.
THE CUSTOM ORIGINAL ARTWORK
The Star of the Show!
This is not the exact art from the image but it is very close. While the print is the same the technique on the original has a Glass Coat Epoxy and Crystal finish with a Poly Gold Float Frame. The original artwork is custom and I purchased it from a fabulous trade partner. If anyone is interested in the original art reach out HERE.
